Warm Digits are a Newcastle based electro band, made up of members Andrew Hodson and Steve Jefferis. If you ever wondered what Gary Numan's kraut-psych project would sound like then look no further, Warm Digits are here with a teaser single 'The View From Nowhere' from their upcoming album Flight of Ideas which is out on 10th April. Trance synthesisers, a roaring bass line and unhinged psychedelic guitars open the song. The drums are an energetic driving force with the use of a consistent snare hit. Emma Pollock (of Scottish rock band The Delgados)'s vocals are wonderfully British and unique. At times they're layered in satisfyingly dense harmony, reaching high ranges. It's easy to get lost in the various melodic and rhythmic elements, which match the chaos of the music video perfectly; created using 2D stop-motion animation with Emma Pollock’s performance cut from printed film stills and bright, flashing illustrations.
